Founder

Juliette Moora's journey from Occupational Therapist to the founder of Nesting Space reflects a remarkable commitment to holistic mental health care.

Her personal experience with postpartum anxiety has not only shaped her professional trajectory but has also inspired her to expand her services to address these crucial aspects of well-being.

Juliette has been a Mental Health OT for almost a decade and is seriously passionate about her work. She has experience working with a psychosocial caseload under the NDIS since 2018. Juliette uses a neuro-affirming lens and specialises working with a range disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, anxiety, depression, bi-polar disorder, schizophrenia, dissociative identity disorder, borderline personality disorder and much more.

  • Juliette also understands firsthand the challenges of navigating mental health struggles during pregnancy and the postnatal period. As a mental health clinician who has personally experienced the isolation of postnatal anxiety, rage and depression after a traumatic birth, she realised the profound impact of seeking help early. Despite her professional knowledge, she felt alone and unsure where to turn.

During this period she realised there would be so much an Occupational Therapist can do to support women and their families in the antenatal and postnatal periods. She desperately needed one herself! Becoming a mum was transformative physically, psychologically, emotionally, socially and spiritually and following the discovery of the meaning of matrescence, Juliette had found her calling.

Juliette understands and has experienced the ambivalence that comes with being mum as well as the neurocognitive changes that occurs in the brain after pregnancy, birth and beyond.

When Juliette is not working she is a mum to a beautiful 1 year old girl, Lova, dog mum to a miniature aussie shepherd named Rue, and soon to be wife to her other half, Jed! She spends every morning walking at her local dog beach in Curl Curl with her family.
